The 2022 Next Gen ATP Finals will be played at the Allianz Cloud in Milan.

The arena was completely renovated and re-opened in 2019, becoming a new reference point in Milan for sporting events and shows. It holds 5,420 spectators and mainly hosts volleyball and basketball events. The structure was inaugurated in 1961, called ‘Palalido’. It has been home to major national and international sporting events, as well as theatre for some of the greatest rock concerts of the past (Rolling Stones, Rockets, The Police, Deep Purple).

The Allianz Cloud stands out as modern design structure with an elliptical shape. The futuristic roof is integrated with insulating panels, the lighting is produced with LED technology and the heating system is modular. One of the renewal guidelines is in fact energy saving, sustainability and respect for the environment.

The ‘Palalido's’ rebirth project started with an analysis of architectural barriers, to improve accessibility, use and comfort of the spaces. In conceiving the areas, services and equipment, the arena was designed not only for spectators with disabilities, but also for the athlete with disabilities and for all those who use the structure.
