Currently No. 55 in the PIF ATP Rankings, the 20-year-old lefty has not played in a tournament since the Australian Open, where he retired from his first-round match against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.

It All Adds Up

Shang began his year by making the semi-finals of the Bank of China Hong Kong Tennis Open, retiring from his third Lexus ATP Head2Head match against former World No. 4 Kei Nishikori due to illness.

Last October, the #NextGenATP star climbed to a career-high World No. 47 shortly after claiming his first ATP Tour title in Chengdu. Shang is seventh in the PIF ATP Live Race To Jeddah.
