Enhancements underscore ATP's commitment to nurturing talent and improving player pathway

The Next Gen ATP Brand will undergo an expansion from 2024, incorporating the Next Gen ATP Finals, Next Gen Top 350 players, and the Next Gen Accelerator Programme under its umbrella.

Effective from 2024, the Next Gen ATP Finals Qualification criteria undergoes modification, lowering the age threshold from 21-and-under to 20-and-under. This adjustment opens new avenues for emerging players born in 2004 or later to showcase their prowess on a global stage.

A highlight of the revamped programme is the introduction of added benefits for players aged 20-and-under who are currently in or ascend to the Top 350 in the Pepperstone ATP Rankings. These rising stars will not only become Next Gen players, but will also receive up to eight ATP Challenger Tour 100 and 125 opportunities. The Next Gen ATP Brand will help build a comprehensive year-long narrative, promoting player and tournament storylines.

Furthermore, players aged 20-and-under who are currently in the Top 250 or reach the Top 250 will enjoy added advantages, including one main draw and two qualifying opportunities at the ATP 250 level, in addition to their Challenger opportunities (outlined above). This opportunity will only apply in weeks when there are three or more ATP Tour events.

The Accelerator Programme for Junior and College players will maintain its current status quo. The programme will fall under the Next Gen ATP Brand, becoming the Next Gen Accelerator. The current promotion system will be replaced by the Top 350 opportunities at the ATP Challenger Tour level.

These enhancements underscore the ATP's commitment to nurturing talent and improving the player pathway.
