Mensik, Shang well positioned in PIF ATP Live Race To Jeddah
Jakub Mensik and Shang Juncheng are well positioned in the PIF ATP Live Race To Jeddah ahead of Roland Garros, where the clay-court swing hits its climax.
Both are aiming to make their debuts at the Next Gen ATP Finals presented by PIF in December and currently sit second and third, respectively. The 18-year-old Czech Mensik advanced to the third round in Madrid last month and holds a 10-5 record on the season at Tour-level.
Shang, 19, has won ATP Masters 1000 matches in Indian Wells, Miami and Madrid this year. The Chinese lefty is competing at the ATP Challenger Tour 175 event in Bordeaux this week and could rise to second in the Live Race To Jeddah with a deep run.
