Clay-court event will be held from 5-12 April

Frenchmen Gael Monfils and Moise Kouame have received wild cards for next month’s Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, the tournament announced on social media on Friday.

Monfils, 39, and Kouame, 17, are at differing stages of their careers, with Monfils making his final appearance at the clay-court event, while Kouame is set for his debut. Monfils, who will finish his playing career at the end of 2026, reached the final in The Principality in 2016, falling to record 11-time champion Rafael Nadal.

The #NextGenATP star Kouame won his maiden tour-level match at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Miami earlier in March and broke ground at the ATP 250 event in Montpellier in February when he became the sixth-youngest man to qualify for an ATP Tour tournament since 2000. The 17-year-old is currently No. 325 in the PIF ATP Live Rankings and the youngest player inside the Top 500.

Stan Wawrinka and Matteo Berrettini were awarded wild cards for the Masters 1000 last week. The tournament will be held from 5-12 April, with Carlos Alcaraz the defending champion.
