Joins fellow Americans Korda and Brooksby

Brandon Nakashima has become the seventh player to qualify for the Intesa Sanpaolo Next Gen ATP Finals, to be held in Milan from 9-13 November.

The American will make his debut at the 21-and-under event, having enjoyed a breakthrough 2021 season by rising from No. 170 in the FedEx ATP Rankings to a career-high of No. 70 this week.

Shortly prior to his 20th birthday, Nakashima became the youngest American to advance to multiple tour-level finals since Andy Roddick went 5-2 in finals as a teenager in 2001-02, after runs at the Mifel Open in Los Cabos (l. to Norrie) and the TRUIST Atlanta Open presented by Fiserv (l. to Isner). In 2021, he also won one ATP Challenger Tour title at Quimper 2, France (d. Zapata Miralles).

Nakashima joins Jannik Sinner, Auger-Aliassime, Carlos Alcaraz, Sebastian Korda, Jenson Brooksby and Lorenzo Musetti in the Milan field. Nakashima qualified after advancing to the final of the Brest Challenger in France.
